Project Tab

On the Project tab you can control the most important program functions: adding files, parsing files and adding and editing configurations.

Group	Icon / Command	Shortcut	Meaning
Add	Add Files		Adds one or more files to the project.
Add	Add Folder		Adds a folder to the project. During the parsing process all relevant files contained in the directory and all subdirectories are parsed.
Add	Import Folder		Adds all relevant files contained in a folder hierarchy to the project.
Add	Update All	F5	Reparses all source and topic files
Active Configuration	Switch Configuration		You can select a configuration from your project.
Active Configuration	Add Configuration		Adds a new configuration.
Active Configuration	Edit Configuration Name		Edits the current configuration name.
Active Configuration	Remove Configuration		Removes the current configuration.
Build	Build	F9	Generates documentation using the currently selected configuration.
Build	Build All		Generates documentation for all configurations.
Build	Check	CTRL+F9	Checks for errors, by building but not generating documentation.
Build	Build Current Topic	SHIFT+F9	Builds the current topic using the current configuration. This command does not work with folder topics, special topics and only partly with members of classes.
Build	Stop	F12	Stops the generation process.
Build	Show Output	F10	Reopens the most recently generated documentation that was generated using the current output format.
Tools	Find Text in Project		Finds a string in all source and DTX files in your project and lists topic IDs in the Message Pane. You can learn more about this tool in Find Text in Project.
Tools	Project Statistics		Counts the words in your project and shows a statistic of your project.
Tools	More > Export Symbol ID List		Saves the symbol IDs of all symbols in the current project into a text file.
Tools	More > Export Topic ID Hierarchy		Saves your topics in a hierarchy into a text file.
Tools	More > Get TOC Information from Topic		Extracts TOC information formatted as lists from the selected topic.
Tools	More > Remove TOC Information		Removes information about the documentation structure and TOC from your project file or removes only TOC information that is no longer used.
Tools	More > Switch Output Language		Replaces all automatically inserted English terms and graphic files in the output by the selected language.
Tools	More > Move Documentation		Copies or moves all comments contained in one or more source files to one or more DTX files. You can learn more about this tool in Move Documentation.
Tools	More > Import Project		Adds (or replaces) the topic hierarchy and configurations of another Doc-O-Matic project file to the current project. You can learn more about this tool in Import Project.
Tools	More > Save as Template Project		Saves all settings of the current project as template for new projects. For more information about templates, see Save as Template Project.
Tools	More > Make Configuration Consistent		Copies variable and label values from other configurations, if the values are not defined in the current configuration.
