Settings

An extremely important part of each Doc-O-Matic project are the Settings. Settings are a hierarchical tree of settings pages with tabs for each configuration and the General Settings tabs.

Option Area
Covers
General
Covers general settings like project title and file types.
Source Parsing
Covers all options that influence the way in which Doc-O-Matic interprets C/C++, Delphi/Pascal, C#, VB.NET and Java source code.
Documentation
Covers all options that influence the way in which documentation is extracted out of source and topic files and how this documentation is interpreted.
Sections
Covers all options that influence the topic structure.
Editor
Covers all options that influence the way in which Doc-O-Matic writes edited documentation into source and topic files.
Covers AutoDoc option such as automatically generated navigation overviews, links, declaration source code, and inheritance hierarchies.
Files and Format
Options that specify the look and feel of the configuration.
  • Some changes are only applied to your project if you click the Update All button on the quick access toolbar. A reminder informs you that you need to do this after you changed one of these settings.
  • Deselect the Show Update-All reminder check box on the Basic Application Option page to remove the reminder.

To save your changed Settings as templates for new projects, select Save as Template Project on the Project tab in the Tools group.
