Resolving Image Paths

In general, insert images in your documentation by referencing a graphic file with its name only and omit filename extensions. In addition, you must add your image directories to your project.

If Doc-O-Matic can not detect a used image on the image path of the configuration, it generates a message in the message pane. Doc-O-Matic attempts to locate graphic files (on the image path) in the best matching format for the output. Doc-O-Matic knows which images can be used for the format it generates. Doc-O-Matic uses the first matching file in the image folder.

Doc-O-Matic attempts to detect the following files:

Output Format
Filename Extensions
PDF
.bmp, .jpg, .png and .gif files
HTML / HTML Help
.jpg, .png and .gif files. .bmp files are converted into .png files.
RTF
