Additional Information type sections are used to present additional information to a topic and to give examples. Only Additional Information type sections can be used several times in a topic, so that you can give more than one example in a topic. If you use other sections more than once in a topic, the text of these sections is concatenated to one text block.
- There are two ways to name Additional Information type section. You can:
- Name them individually by inserting a heading as very first string below the section heading.
- Number them automatically. For example, Example 3 will be displayed as section heading for the third given example in a topic. You can change this default setting on the Section Options page.
There are two ways to show Additional Information type section in Help systems. You can:
- Present them in-line as any other section.
- Show them on a separate page. Doc-O-Matic shows these sections in-line and on a separate page by default.
- On the Views Bar, click Settings.
- Click the corresponding Configuration tab.
- Select Files & Format
Sections. - Clear the check box next to the section name (for example Examples).
- On the Views Bar, click Settings.
- Click the corresponding Configuration tab.
- Select Files & Format
Sections
Navigation Links. - Click the Title or the Text tab.
- Clear the check box next to the link to this section.
