Documenting generic source files such as VB6, Ada, Fortran or Cobol files works in the same way as documenting natively supported language files. But there are some features that do not work with generic source files because Doc-O-Matic does not understand these languages natively. The following features do not work using generic source files:

• Overloaded functions
• Inherited description
• Multiple description handling, comments for symbol can only be extracted from one spot in the project
• Declaration source is not automatically included in the topic
