Doc-O-Matic automatically creates a hierarchical structure of your source code symbols and groups symbols in folders in the Content Manager. A symbol reference folder is the root folder for all symbols by default. There are several ways to show your symbols in the Content Manager. You can:
- Divide the hierarchy into several parts by creating modules.
- Show all symbols in a namespace as subtopics of the namespace topic by using namespace information.
- Sort symbols in namespaces and modules in folders.
- Create additional subfolders for class members and methods such as folders for data members.
- Add member overview pages.
- Sort class members in visibility folders such as private and public.
- Sort symbols alphabetically or by code position.
- Create folders for overloaded member functions.
You can sort all symbols on the top level and all class members in the Advances Symbol Hierarchy Options dialog box.
- To open the dialog, click More
.
- You can individually sort all subtopics of a selected topic and all topic on the same level as the selected topic.
- In the hierarchy, select a topic.
- Right-click, and then point to Contents Design.
- Select Sort Ascending, to sort all subtopic by title in ascending order.
- Select Sort Descending, to sort all subtopics by title in descending order.
- Select Custom Sort, to change the default sort options.
