In Doc-O-Matic 6 you can apply labels to topic text. Using labels you can:
- Apply different character formatting to text parts for each of your configurations.
- Change character formatting after finishing your documentation by simply changing label settings.
- Include parts of topic text in one configuration and omit it in other configurations.
- Format recurring information types such as keyboard shortcut, menu paths and notes by inserting images, adding prefixes and changing delimiters.
- Place your cursor in the text you want to format.
- Do one of the following.
- Click the Label
arrow. - Press SHIFT+CTRL+<SPACE> to open the label menu.
- Click the Label
- In the Label menu, select a label.
- Do one of the following.
- Click the Label
arrow. - Press SHIFT+CTRL+<SPACE> open the label menu.
- Click the Label
- In the Label menu, select Add Label.
- In the Name box, type a name for your label.
- Define character formatting, conditions and other settings.
- If you want to define those settings differently for each configurations do the following.
- On the Views Bar, click Settings.
- Click the corresponding Configuration tab.
- Select AutoDoc
Text Labels. - Select the label you want to edit, and then click Edit.
- Change label values for the current configuration.
- On the Views Bar, click Settings.
- Click the corresponding Configuration tab.
- Select AutoDoc
Text Labels. - You can format text labels, add images, replace text and exclude labeled text in each configuration separately.
- On the Views Bar, click Settings.
- Click the corresponding Configuration tab.
- Select AutoDoc
Variables. - Select the variable you want to edit and click Edit.
- Change variable values and apply character formatting for the current configuration.
