Files and Folder, HTML Help, Help 2, Filenames, WinHelp, Compression, Basic Settings XML

This section explains where you can find and rename the output files. In the Project Manager output folders and file names for all output files are listed for each configuration. 

To open the corresponding Settings page, select the output path or output file of the current configuration (bold) and then select Change Settings on the shortcut menu.

  1. Select Files & FormatFiles & Folders.
  2. Type the name and change the output folder.
  3. Doc-O-Matic autonames your PDF file based on the project filename by default.
  4. Select the Compress PDF file check box, to reduce the size of your file.
  1. Select Files & FormatFiles & Folders.
  2. Click , and then find the folder you want to use.
  3. Select the Clear directory before Export check box, to clear the output directory before building. In this case only accurate HTML files are in the directory.
  4. Select Files & FormatFiles & FoldersFile Names.
  5. Type names of the files that you want to change in the respective box.

  2. Click , and then find the file and folder you want to use.
  3. Doc-O-Matic autonames your Help file based on the project file name by default.

  2. Click , and then find the file and folder you want to use.
  3. Doc-O-Matic saves the Help file with an autoname based on the project file name by default.
  1. Select Files & FormatFiles & Folders.
  2. Click , and then find the file and folder you want to use.
  3. Doc-O-Matic saves the Help file and the .rtf file with an autoname based on the project file name by default.
  4. To compress the Help file, select the Help File Compression check box on the Files & FormatHelp ProjectCompression page.
  5. In this case less disc space is used and the time required to compile the Help file might increase.
  1. Select Files & FormatBasic Settings.
  2. Click , and then find the file and folder you want to use.
  3. Doc-O-Matic saves your XML file with an autoname based on the project file name by default.
