Doc-O-Matic exports all generic topic and most symbol topics to the output by default. There are two ways to change export states. You can:
- Change the export status of each symbol and topic individually in the Content Manager.
- Define export states by symbol types or by the documentation status and the accuracy of topics.
Each topic can have one of the following export states:

There are several ways to determine which topics are exported to the output. You can set export states either for the whole project or for each configuration separately.
- Make sure Apply Status Globally is turned on.
- Clear the Export State check boxes in front of each symbol and topic. Note: If you do not export a topic, its subtopics are not exported either.
- Right-click, and then point to Contents Design.
- Select Apply Status Globally
to turn it off. - In the Configuration menu, select the configuration you want to change.
- Clear the Export State check box in front of each symbol and topic that you do not want to export in the current configuration.
- Doc-O-Matic exports all symbol types (functions, classes and types) except private class members by default. You can change these settings on the Export page separately for each configuration.
- Switch to Settings.
- Click the Configuration tab of the configuration you want to change.
- Select AutoDoc
Export
Default Member Selection. - Define which class members appear in the current configuration. Note that clearing or selecting the Export check box next to the topic in the Content Manager can overwrite these settings.
