Documenting source has never been easier, click here for examples.
Here are some examples of how output generated by Doc-O-Matic looks like.
All output formats are generated from just one source. All comments in these examples can either be written in the integrated Editor or extracted from plain text comments, tagged C# XML comments or JavaDoc comments. The examples show C++ source documentation.
Examples on this page all show the same documentation, rendered with different templates. Doc-O-Matic comes with templates for Visual Studio 2008, Visual Studio 2005, Borland RAD Studio, Visual Studio 2003 and a template for browser-based Help, which makes it extremely easy to create completely different looking Help systems from the same source.
| Visual Studio 2005 | |
This shows the VS.NET 2005 Help style. This style includes expandable sections and automatic anchors for the See Also section and "Top" links. Help users can expand all collapsed sections by clicking the Expand All button in headers. Enables users determine the look of their Help by storing section status (expanded or collapsed) during Help sessions. The source code is presented in multiple .NET languages.
| WebHelp TOC | |
This shows Doc-O-Matic's Web Help. Web Help is platform independent browser-based Help that is presented in three frames. Frameset is completely customizable. The dynamic TOC automatically synchronizes with the displayed topic. Show a copyright notice and a feedback link in footers.
| WebHelp Index | |
The index page comes with a dynamic search box that displays search results dynamically. Browsing features include links to previous and next and up topics, topic paths to the current topic, linked and hovering images to symbol reference, welcome topic, index and TOC.
| Class Members | |
Doc-O-Matic automatically adds member and symbol overviews, indicator images, description text and a legend. Member overviews are automatically created for member overview pages and folders. Display overviews in the Visual Studio three columns style, in paragraphs, in tables and in tables without headers. Automatically add indicators or add them manually by using flags as indicators. Sort members by visibility and type. List base class in separate tables or together with other class members. Add sections as description text and limit the printed words project-wide.
| Class Hierarchy | |
This shows a class topic in the default style in Doc-O-Matic. Linked graphics of local class hierarchies. Use project databases to display and link to ancestor classes in other projects. Graphics are highly customizable. Apply different layouts (top down), font styles, colors, gradients and shadows.
| PDF Output | |
This shows a class topic of a typical Doc-O-Matic PDF. In addition to full formatting flexibility the generated PDF is feature rich and includes header and footer configuration, bookmarks, chapter tabs, link setup, title and TOC options and much more. Of course PDF output also works with Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian content.
